BMW B48 / B46 Port Injection Kit – Auxiliary Fuel System

Increase the fueling capability of your BMW B48 or B46 engine with the STROM Motorsports B48 / B46 Port Injection Kit, developed and tested on STROM’s own B46 race cars.

With STROM’s specified injectors, testing has shown the system can provide up to approximately 200 whp of additional fueling capacity, with the potential for even greater fuel delivery when using larger compatible EV14K injectors.

Additional Fueling for High-Power B48 & B46 Engines

The BMW B48 and B46 use direct fuel injection from the factory. As boost, airflow and engine power increase, additional fuel delivery may be required to support higher-output configurations.

The STROM Port Injection Kit adds an auxiliary fuel rail and injectors to the intake manifold, allowing additional fuel to be introduced alongside the factory direct injection system.

This makes it particularly suitable for:

• High-power B48 builds

• B46 race engines

Up to 200 WHP of Additional Fueling Capacity

With STROM’s specified injectors, the port injection system has demonstrated the ability to provide up to approximately 200 whp worth of additional fueling capacity in testing.

For builds requiring even greater fuel delivery, larger injectors can be selected using the compatible EV14K injector form factor.

Actual power capability will depend on injector size, fuel type, fuel pressure, engine specification, tuning and supporting modifications.

Larger injectors using the same EV14K form factor can also be selected according to the fueling requirements of your engine.

This provides flexibility for everything from moderately modified B48 engines to dedicated high-output race builds.

Designed for Longitudinal B46 & B48 Engines

The STROM Port Injection Kit fits longitudinally mounted BMW B46 and B48 engines.

Typical compatible vehicle applications include models such as:

• BMW 230i

• BMW 430i

• BMW 530i

• Other longitudinal B46/B48-powered BMW models

This kit does not fit transverse B48 applications, including MINI Cooper models.

Additional Fuel System Requirements

This kit provides the hardware required to add port injectors to the engine, but additional fuel plumbing and an injector controller are required.

STROM operates the auxiliary injectors through MoTeC engine management on its race applications, although other compatible standalone or auxiliary injector control systems can also be used.

Your engine management system must be properly configured and professionally calibrated to control the additional injectors.

Important Alternator Fitment Information

Installation requires the use of BMW alternator P/N 12318645325, or modification of the plastic cover on your existing alternator.

This is necessary to provide clearance for the front edge of the port injection adapter plate.

Check your alternator configuration before installation.
