The D1-282 replacement rings are specifically designed for Girodisc A1-282 380mm front rotor assemblies fitted to BMW G8X models with factory iron brakes.

Once your original friction rings reach their service limit, simply replace the rotor rings while reusing your existing Girodisc aluminium hats. This modular design significantly lowers long-term maintenance costs while retaining the lightweight performance advantages of Girodisc's two-piece floating rotor system.

Important Compatibility Information

These replacement rotor rings are only compatible with Girodisc aluminium hats.

They are not compatible with factory BMW two-piece brake rotors or rotor hats from other manufacturers. If your vehicle is still equipped with OEM brake discs, you will require the complete Girodisc A1-282 rotor kit instead of replacement rings.

Important: Compatible with factory iron brake vehicles only. These replacement rings are not suitable for Carbon Ceramic Brake (CCB) models and will only fit existing Girodisc A1-282 aluminium hats. Please verify your current Girodisc part number before ordering.

Service & Replacement

Girodisc's modular two-piece rotor system is designed to reduce running costs by allowing the friction rings to be replaced independently of the aluminium hats.

For optimum performance and safety, Girodisc recommends replacing the rings once they reach a minimum thickness of 34mm, or sooner if any crack extends to the outer edge of the rotor. Always install the supplied replacement hardware when rebuilding your rotor assemblies.
