Ideal for BMW B48D, B48TU and B46D performance engines, this precision-machined adapter allows engine oil to be routed to a separate front-mounted oil cooler, helping improve both engine oil and coolant temperature management during demanding driving.

Whether you're building a track-focused BMW G20 330i, Toyota GR Supra 2.0, BMW Z4 30i or a custom B48 engine swap, this adapter provides a purpose-built solution for adding a conventional external oil cooling system.

M16x1.5 Oil Cooler Ports

The adapter features M16x1.5 threaded oil inlet and outlet ports, giving builders flexibility when configuring their external oil cooler lines.

STROM's recommended banjo-style configuration uses:

• 2 x Vibrant 24085 -8AN banjo fittings

• 2 x BMW M16 banjo bolts – 32416852470

• 4 x 16 x 20 x 1.5mm sealing washers – 07119906463

Alternatively, M16x1.5 to -8AN or -10AN adapters can be used with conventional AN hose fittings.

This provides plenty of flexibility when designing a custom oil cooler installation.

Engine oil temperature becomes increasingly important when a B48 engine is subjected to prolonged high loads.

Important Installation Information

This adapter plate does not include a new oil filter housing gasket, as BMW does not sell the required gasket independently.
