Set of 4 S65 VAN0S covers for S65 V8 in E9X M3.

The VANOS camshaft timing gears on the S65 have a plastic cap on the end that may become brittle and shatter, releasing the VANOS coil spring and sending chunks of plastic into the depths of your camshaft and timing chains. These aluminum covers work as a preventative fix and as a replacement for damaged covers. Each cover is CNC machined from a 7075 billet (higher tensile and fatigue strength than 6061) and anodized in black for corrosion resistance.

BMW does not sell the S65 VANOS covers separately.

This style of cap does not require the center bolt to be loosened or removed so timing is not affected. These caps simply snap into place onto the VANOS hub.
